Doing the laundry is never a particularly enjoyable task, but French luxury house Hermes is making it all the more stylish with its pop-up concept, Hermesmatic. Marking the 80th anniversary of its iconic silk scarves, the branded laundromats invite customers to bring in their loved silk scarves for a wash, dye and dry, restoring them to their original softness and giving them a colour rinse. While the laundromats haven’t been announced for Australia, there will be outposts in Strasbourg, Amsterdam, Munich and Kyoto for dedicated fans.
