In a new project, Australian photographer and Manuscript contributor Saskia Wilson has unveiled a series of snapshots of life in New York City. Certainly, Ms Wilson is not the first artist to find inspiration in the fabled streets of the world’s most electric city, but reflective of her ongoing practice, the photographer’s work is at once intimate and anonymous, making the the hustle of daily life in the state’s capital fall away to reveal moments of beautiful simplicity. As a result, her images take on the air of the familiar, imbuing them with a longevity and undeniable appeal.
