At Manuscript, we’ve really made no secret of love of Gucci’s new artistic director Alessandro Michele’s vision for the Italian brand. Romantic, subversive, a little bit seventies, the collections feel in step with fashion’s new mood (indeed, many houses are following suit), and it’s seeing Gucci’s fortunes rise once more. That vision is unfolding to the brand’s global network of retail stores, with his flagship in Perth, Western Australia the third to be overhauled, its fittest replaced with textural Persian rugs, studded leather storage cases, polished concrete flooring and plush couches. We’ll trade online shopping for this sort of experience any day.
