There really is no end to the creativity of students. Not restricted by commercial concerns, and indeed encouraged to think big, university years are few in a designer’s career that they are free to truly express their ideas. We noted this in our recent coverage of the University of Technology fashion honours graduates, and it’s evident again in the work of Queensland University of Technology’s graduate fashion design students for 2015. Drawing on influences as far-ranging as constructivism, Candy Crush and Courtney Love, these designs are as ambitious as they are intricate, and with coaching from designers Lydia Pearson, Mark Neighbour and Icaro Ibanez, and Manuscript associate editor Alison Kubler, each has successfully found their own niche. We commend the graduating students and look forward to their next career moves.
