Of all the brands in the global market, Bassike is certainly a leader when it comes to pared-down, easy-to-wear basics - thus its name - and given its origins on Sydney’s northern beaches, it’s jersey wares specifically suited for coastal dressing. It makes sense then that for its first international store outside of Australia, it chose Venice Beach, California. Located on Lincoln Boulevard, nearby fellow Australian brands Aesop and Flannel, the store design is a collaboration between Kelvin Ho of Akin Creative, the architectural practice responsible for Bassike’s local stores, and Los Angeles-base creative duo BROOK&LYN.
