INTRODUCING: EXINFINITAS

A new label in the Australian market, Exinfinitas fuses old world craftsmanship with new technologies.

It’s not often that a new menswear label comes along in the Australian market. Rarer still that it’s of the quality and innovation of its European or American counterparts. But so it is that Exinfinitas, a unique denim design studio by Lukas Vincent, will launch online this coming September. “I have quite a strong background working with denim-based brands in Australia and New York, so I always knew that the brand I created would have to contain a denim element,” Mr Vincent tells Manuscript of Exinfinitas. “In the end, what came to fruition was the conceptual framework which allowed me to explore my love of high-end fashion and all its nuances while also giving me a vehicle to bring new life to the denim market: a perfect balance of luxury and streetwear sensibilities.”

Indeed, Exinfinitas is not your average jeans label. Included in the debut collection are sculptural pieces, such as geometrically-constructed sweatshirts and denim pants that thwart our traditional notion of jeans, all of them created locally in Australia from specialist fabrics from Japan and Italy. “The use of technical fabrics of Italy and the heritage loom-state denims of Japan provides a beautiful, idiosyncratic tension between the two,” says Mr Vincent, noting that the use of high quality materials makes Exinfinitas attractive to the lucrative international sales market.
