In a rather perfect coming together of two brands, American retailer J. Crew has released a series of polo shirts created in collaboration with sportswear brand Lacoste. It’s the first time the two iconic brands have partnered, part of J. Crew’s ongoing Looks We Love seasonal series, as spearheaded by creative director Jenna Lyons and head of men’s designer Frank Muytjens. What differentiates these polo shirts most from those offered at a Lacoste store is the inclusion of a 1983 version of the brand’s crocodile motif and a particular cursive font. Which means, of course, that these pieces will no doubt become collector’s items, albeit at an accessible price.
