As part of an ongoing initiative to attract new audiences, the National Art School is set to launch a series of Twilight Sessions, free mid-week events comprising live music, workshops, talks, film screenings and, of course, the exhibition of contemporary art. Set at the school’s historic old gaol site in Darlinghurst, and coinciding with the International Year of Light, the inaugural event will begin this coming Wednesday 25 February with the presentation of Bill Culbert’s largest solo project in Australia, following the success of his installations at the 55th Venice Biennale. DJ Mike Who, an illuminated photography exhibition led by Peter Solness and an exhibition from Margaret Olley complete next week’s event, one of four for the year. Visit the website for more details.
